Giving Back
At Blue River Dental we are committed to giving back to our community. Each year we select a local non-profit doing great work here in Shelbyville to be the recipient of our annual philanthropy. For each new patient that joins our practice, we donate $50 to our community partner.
2023 & 2024 Community Cause – The Blue River Dental Scholarship
In 2023, we hope to raise $20,000 to contribute to the Blue River Dental Scholarship.
Dr. Pumphrey and Dr. Crandall created this scholarship through the Blue River Community Foundation to provide financial support to students wishing to pursue a career in dental assisting or dental hygiene. Both doctors have enjoyed a successful, fulfilling career
due in large part to the talents and dedication of the dental care providers working alongside them. They hope to encourage those interested in healthcare
to pursue a career in dentistry!
In 2022 we donated $21,750 to our community partner, Girl's Inc. of Shelby County! We believe in the work they’re doing to “equip girls to overcome serious barriers to grow up strong, smart, and bold”. In addition to financial support, our dental hygienist, Kelly, has had a blast educating girls about dental care and healthy smiles.
