Technology

Blue River Dental Technology

Blue River Dental has long committed to offering you the highest level of service and care.  That means investing in the latest technology to offer you prevention and treatment that is better, faster, and safer. We are proud to offer cutting-edge technology right here in Shelbyville.  If you haven’t been to the dentist in awhile, you will be amazed at how we’ve enhanced the patient experience using technology.  Come in and check it out!

CEREC CAD/CAM Technology for Same-Day Crowns

In most offices the process of getting a crown made requires multiple visits, messy dental impressions of your teeth, and having to wear a temporary crown for several weeks.  At Blue River Dental we know you have better things to do with your time. That’s why we’ve been using CEREC CAD/CAM technology since 2006. This innovative tool uses a high-resolution 3D scanner instead of messy, goopy impressions to allow our doctors to digitally design your new crown while you wait.  Crowns in one visit— that’s amazing!

3D Digital Imaging

The newest and best imaging technology in dentistry is 3D digital imaging technology. With low-radiation 3D imaging, our doctors can see much more thorough and detailed information about the teeth and jaws than ever before, allowing them to offer the absolute highest level of diagnosis and treatment.

Three-dimensional imaging also allows our doctors to virtually plan your implant treatment, making dental implants safer and faster, and ensuring the best outcomes. We are excited to offer you this cutting-edge technology found in very few dental offices!

Digital X-Rays

At Blue River Dental we use the latest digital dental x-ray technology to deliver instant high-quality images.  This saves time, making your appointments quicker. Digital technology uses much less radiation than standard x-rays and is more comfortable for you.

iTero Scanner

The high-definition images we capture with this remarkable scanner help us plan treatments, including the creation of unique Invisalign® clear braces. Rather than messy impressions or bulky imaging technology, we can use a handheld scanner to take precise images that are instantly viewable and easily stored!

DIAGNOdent Laser Cavity Detection

DIAGNOdent is a small laser wand that helps us find even the smallest cavities in your mouth. It only takes a few minutes and is completely painless.  Finding and fixing cavities when they are tiny lets you avoid more costly and involved procedures and keeps you smiling!

Intraoral Cameras

Have you ever felt confused or overwhelmed after a dental visit? At Blue River Dental, it’s very important to us that you understand your dental health and treatment options. As the saying goes, a picture is worth a thousand words. Intraoral cameras let you see what we see, so you can make more informed decisions about your care.

Let us prevent serious dental issues and treat the ones you are experiencing currently in a way that is better, faster, and safer than ever before. Come to our office for a dental experience that is better for your overall health as well as your busy schedule!
