Carrie Pumphrey, DDS is a Greensburg, Indiana native, receiving her B.S. in Nutrition Science from Purdue University in 1997. She went on to earn her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at Indiana University School of Dentistry in 2001. She began practicing that same year in Shelbyville, forming Blue River Dental. Dr. Pumphrey is a member of the International Team for Implantology (ITI) Study Club, Indianapolis District Dental Society, Indiana Dental Association and the American Dental Association.
Dr. Pumphrey enjoys her involvement in community activities. She is a Major Hospital Foundation board member and a Blue River Community Foundation committee member and regularly supports Girls Inc., SCUFFY, and Clarity Pregnancy Center.
Dr. Pumphrey feels fortunate to be a part of the Shelby County community. She and the entire Blue River Dental team strive to make their office a place where families can receive the highest level of care and compassion. Blue River Dental patients deserve lifelong dental health, and Dr. Pumphrey is committed to that goal.
Dr. Pumphrey is married with two young sons, Luca and Alek. She and her husband, George, enjoy travelling and outdoor activities with their boys. Dr. Pumphrey also enjoys cooking, running, and gardening in her free time.
Betsy Crandall, DDS is a native of Greenwood, Indiana. She completed her undergraduate studies at Indiana University, receiving her BS in Biology in 2002. She went on to earn her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at Indiana University in 2007 and began practicing that same year in Shelbyville.
Dr. Crandall is a member of the Indianapolis District Dental Society, the Indiana Dental Association and the American Dental Association. Dr. Crandall meets regularly with the International Team for Implantology (ITI) Study Club. She also enjoys volunteering her time for the Major Hospital Foundation, serving as a board member and committee member. Dr. Crandall supports Girls, Inc., SCUFFY, and Clarity Pregnancy Center.
Dr. Crandall enjoys building personal relationships and establishing trust with her patients. She believes it is important to communicate with patients in a caring and respectful manner, while educating patients on their dental needs and treatment options. Dr. Crandall’s goal is to make every patient as comfortable as possible while they are receiving the dentistry they deserve at Blue River Dental.
Dr. Crandall and her husband, Ward, are the proud parents of Oliver and Ruby. As a family, they enjoy spending time at their local YMCA, entertaining friends and family and traveling. They are members of Second Presbyterian Church. Dr. Crandall and her family love visiting the Indianapolis Zoo, the Children's Museum and cheering on our Indianapolis Colts!
